FISD hosts annual staff golf tourney
PARTNERING TO WIN the annual Fairfield Independent School District staff golf scramble were, l-r, John Bear, Rodney Gillen-Hall, Lynn Caffey and Cody Shaw. A scorecard playoff determined the winner last week in the annual Fairfield Independent School District golf tournament when two teams carded rounds of six under par.
The tourney was a 9- hole scramble at Big Cedar Country Club and drew 38 players.
Trophies were awarded members of the top two teams.
Claiming first place after the scorecard playoff was the team of Cody Shaw, Rodney Gillen-Hall, John Bear and Lynn Caffey.
Placing second was the team of Darrell Piske, Dan Roberson, Kevin Chase, Darrel Ezell and Edye Gillen-Hall.
Picking up trophies in a closest-to-the hole contest were Carolyn Price and Piske.
Long drive contest winners were Sally Hickerson and Shaw, who also received trophies.
A number of door prizes were given away after play concluded.
