The Freestone county grand jury last week returned felony criminal indictments in 25 cases.

Grand jurors met for their regular monthly session on April 29 at the courthouse in Fairfield.

Charges on which action was taken include aggravated assault, possession of amphetamine, sexual assault, possession of child pornography, felony theft, indecency with a child, unlawful possession of a firearm, failure to register as a sex offender, forgery and burglary.

Indicted were:

—Kathryn Elizabeth Jones, 19, of Spring on a Feb. 15 charge of possession of amphetamine.

—Christopher Dunbar, 20, of Teague on six separate charges of sexual assault of a child under 17 years of age.

—Brandon Carl Broaddrick, 26, of Brownsboro on a complaint of possession of child pornography on Sept. 19, 2008.

—Michael Shane House, 37, of Alvin on a March 17 charge of theft over $20,000 filed in connection the the theft of a truck

—Kevin Starks, 42, of Fairfield on a complaint of indecency with a child under 17 years of age on March 8.

—Juan Felipe Charles, 35, of Dallas on a Jan. 27 charge of theft over $20,000 filed in the alleged thefts of a Starcrart travel trailer owned by Glenn Ryan, Tahoe travel trailer owned by Amber Terry, Yamaha ATV owned by Dr. Mark Hussey and a cargo trailer owned by Mark Watson.

—Jason Heath Quinn, 34, of Fairfield on a complaint of aggravated assault, allegedly pushing Tjwanna Sue Cloer from a moving vehicle on March 20.

—Clifford Wayland Light, 64, of Fairfield on an April 2 complaint of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

—Carl Alexander Turner, 24, of Teague on a charge of failure to register as a sexual offender with Teague Police Department on March 3.

—Monica E. Howe, also known as Monica Watters, 30, of Mexia on an April 4 charge of forgery, allegedly a $1,821.37 check on a bank account of I-45 Shell in Fairfield.

—George D. Rains, Jr., 24, of Teague on a charge of burglary of a habitation, the residence of Garrett Lovelady, on April 2.

—Randy Lee Elswick, 26, of Fairfield, on a charge of burglary of a habitation, the residence of Garrett Lovelady, on April 2.

—Sasha Jane Fontenot, 20, of Wortham on a March 31 complaint of aggravated assault, allegedly pointing a gun at Gregory Jones, Jr.

—Derrick Morgan of Fairfield on a March 15 charge of failure to register with Fairfield Police Department as a sex offender.

Four indictments remain sealed pending arrest of defendants.
