Fairfield fifth and eighth grade performance levels on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills mathematics examination show marked improvement from 2008 scores. Graveside services were held Tuesday for Orand Lorenza "Lefty" Lambert, 82, who died Friday, May 1. Mr. Lambert was born in Ward Prairie on June 26, 1926 and was raised in Fairfield and Galena Park. He graduated from Fairfield high school and joined the United States Navy in 1943. More...
