Fairfield seventh grade Lady Eagles placed second at the District 20-AAA track meet and the eighth grade team finished third in its division.

The meet was held early last week at Palestine Westwood.

Lady Eagles seventh grade thinclad Megan Hodges won three gold medals at district. She claimed the pole vault by clearing six feet, won the 1,600-meter run in a time of 6:22.87 minutes and won the 2,400-meter run in a time of 10:00.6.

The triple jump gold went to Bree Bossier with an effort of 27-2.75, Samantha Walls won the discus with a 70-7 effort and Tiara Tatum took the 400-meter dash in 1:12.21.

Picking up a pair of gold medals in the eighth grade division was Sadie Shaeffer. She ran the 100-meter hurdles in 18.18 to win and the 300-meter hurdles in 5.789 for first.

Gold in the eighth grade 1,600-meter run went to Natalie Neill with a time of 6:33.07.

The pole vault was won by Lady Eagle Katy Berger with an effort of 6-6.
