Betty Barnett

BETTY HUTTO BARNETT BETTY HUTTO BARNETT Graveside services were held last Friday for Betty Hutto Barnett, 69, of Palestine who died Tuesday, March 31, at Trinity Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler.

Mrs. Barnett, a native of Marquez, was a longtime resident of Leon County.

She graduated from Jewett High School in 1958 and worked for over 20 years at Perry's and Duckwall's.

Mrs. Barnett was baptized in Frankston and attended Buffalo's Missionary Baptist Church.

For the past two years, she made her home in Palestine.

Mrs. Barnett loved to garden and collect knickknacks.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 3, at Marquez Cemetery with Billy Bob Evans officiating.

Mrs. Barnett is survived by her sons, Bill Foley and wife Beth and James "Mike" Foley and wife Josephine; and five grandchildren, Michael Foley, Stewart Foley, Willis Foley, Erin Foley and Lauren Foley, all of Palestine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis E. "Bill" Hutto and Eva Gaskin Hutto; brother, Cameron Hutto; and sister, Eloise Raymond.

Arrangements were provided by Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home of Jewett.
