To Salvation Army meeting…. They have an excellent organization, have quietly helped many areas and people through the years and I support their organization wholeheartedly. Present were representatives from Leon, Anderson and Freestone Counties.

Deputy Aldrich arrests another on Harassment and 911 Abuse Warrants. Electrical problems in Lakewood. WPD Ladusau to East San Saba, man's truck window broken. TxDOT sent to piece of steel on pavement, Mile 203.

Now folks, this wasn't just any little bag of cookies…..Not by a long shot….It was just about the right amount to completely fill a foot tub…..And I've got big feet!....This is a part of their Church's 'Love Wins" program. We are highly appreciative of their graciousness and thoughtfulness, and I might add, since they are newcomers from Houston, we welcome them to our County. Later received two pots of roses from another pair of Very Good Samaritans, a Mother and Son……And, you know what? I'm convinced, "love does win!" Doing a good turn never hurts anybody!

New Scam by phone…..If you receive a call to call back a *713 number (Star 713), I have been told this is the latest scam to get your personal information. Sorry, this is unconfirmed as of this writing, just passing it on as a caution to all readers.

Deputies Hendrix and Taylor to vandalized machinery, FM-489. Man jailed by Dep. Robert Elom, three warrants our County, two for Limestone. Dep. Robertson transports mental commitment to Palestine. DPS Warren arrests motorist, Possession of Pot. FEMS to possible stroke, FCR-231. TPD Noll to Teague High Football Field Concession Stand, unruly parent needs to be removed…..And so they were!

Teague VFD to smoke filled house, US-84, pot handle caught on fire. Zeno King presents Yours Truly with Rolling Pin!!! Deputy House to Hemale/Shemale troubles, FCR-536…..one to motel for cooling off. Deputies arrest man for Possession of Firearm by convicted felon. TPD Reed arrests man at Kilgore Trailer Park, fighting with brother. Many calls come in advising of tanker trailer on fire, Hwy. 179, Officers and Teague VFD unable to locate same.

THDEMS to Barbara Drive, breathing troubles. FEMS out at same time on N. 75, same problem. Deputies Elom and McClelland to Domestic Violence, Kirvin. To another, broken window, missing purse. FEMS and Streetman VFD to Lincoln Alley, chest pains. TPD Sykora to loud music, Maple. FPD advised of report received, man threatening to kill himself. Rotary Club Car Show, Antique Tractors, Fire Trucks, Food and Crowds at Lone Star Chevrolet on Saturday. Wade Bottoms Jr. has very interesting display set up with antique stationary engine, manufactured 100 years ago in 1909, turning a pump jack, pumping water out of a reservoir. It was high tech stuff in its day.

THDEMS assisting man with enlarged heart, not feeling well. Threats made against Lady's daughter at DQ in Teague. Boys in Teague fearful others are going to stab them. Deputy Barrentine works on Burglary case all day Saturday, his day off. Got it solved, most of stolen items located or recovered, in process of obtaining a Warrant to arrest one of the crooks…..At this same time local Valero calls to verify…..A customer had come in, purchased gasoline and stated that Dep. Robert Willis would come by to pay for it. They had already pumped the gas, but felt a little verification was needed. Willis hears of the tale….Nope, he has not sent anyone to buy gas at his expense, he's close to Valero, just drop by and see what is going on….Ends up arresting purchaser for Theft of Service. Barrentine hears the gas man's name on the radio, waits for Willis to show up at the Jail with his new arrestee. When Willis walks in with his prisoner, Mr. Barrentine serves the Arrest Warrant on Mr. Willis' prisoner…..It was the same guy Barrentine had just received the Arrest Warrant for a few minutes earlier! Robert was slow in getting him to Jail, as he had to stop and tie the prisoners feet down since he kicked the rear window out of it's track. In Jail now, Theft of Service, Burglary and due to damaging the patrol car, Criminal Mischief.

TPD Howard to Domestic Troubles, Teague Housing Authority. It wasn't a full moon this weekend…..But it sure fooled lots of Officers! Lots of people with problems. Husband throws wife's clothes out and leaves, FPD Kindon to same. Bulldog loose, chasing/threatening people, FPd writes citation to owner. Dep. Taylor to report of breakin, FCR-257.

THDEMS to overdose on Pine. DPS Warren arrests DWI, US-84.Mexia EMS to S. 2nd, Wortham, 90 year old Lady ill. Deputies Willis, Elom and Shaw arrest three while executing a Parole Warrant on S. Bateman, one for the warrant, one for Marijuana, and the other for Controlled Substance. Meanwhile, on FCR-540, Deputy Travis Robertson arrests two brothers, Possession of Marijuana, acting goofy when found stuck in ditch.

WPD Peters to complaint of kid and dog troubles on West Riley, Wortham. Deputy Elom to Simsboro, something thrown through window.
