Angie Drozd
ANGIE DORZD Funeral services were held last week for Angie Drozd, 73, of Streetman who died Wednesday, March 4, at her residence.
Mrs. Drozd was born in Abbott on Dec. 30, 1935 to John and Anita (Tobola) Foyt.
She attended school in West and graduated from West high school in 1955.
On Jan. 14, 1967, Mrs. Drozd married her husband William "Bill" Thomas.
She was employed with the Union Bankers Life Insurance Company in Dallas for 12 years and would later work in production control at the Varo Semiconductor in Garland for over 10 years.
Mrs. Drozd was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the Community Care Club.
She was an avid gardener and active member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Fairfield.
A rosary and Mass of Christian Burial were recited Friday, March 6, at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki and Rev. Devaraj serving as celebrant.
Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Pallbearers included Chad Drozd, Nathan Drozd, Bobby Kostecka, James Kostecka, Justin Neill and Jeff Neu.
Mrs. Drozd is survived by her husband of 42 years, Bill Drozd of Streetman; sister, Millie Kostecka of West; sister-in-law, Pat Neu; brother-in-law, James Drozd; nephews, Bobby, Mike, James and Mark Kostecka; and niece, Lisa Neill.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John H. Foyt.
Memorials may be made to St. Bernard of Clairveaux Building Fund in Fairfield or the Make-AWish Foundation.
Funeral arrangements were made by Aderhold Funeral Home in West.
