The Limestone- Freestone Chapter of the University of Texas Ex- Students Association held its annual Texas Independence Day celebration and fundraiser on Monday, March 2.

The event was held at The Grille restaurant in Teague.

It is a long held tradition of UT alumni to gather on March 2 each year to celebrate Texas Independence Day by breaking bread, having fellowship and toasting the university.

The Limestone- Freestone alumni chapter also uses the meeting to raise money for scholarships for area students that plan to attend UT.
