12 under par wins senior golf

A golf foursome combined efforts for a low score of 12 shots under par to win the weekly senior scramble at Big Cedar Country Club.

The event featured 24 golfers divided into six teams.

Format was for each player to tee off, then members play their own shots from the best drive. Two scores were recorded on each hole.

Members of the winning team were Paul Luna, Mac McKelvey, Mr. Mochorni and Mel Segraves.

Placing second at 10 under was the group of J.R. Wagner, Tony Brackens, Mr. Lee and Tom Donaldson.

Finishing third with a score of five under par was the team of Don Gresham, Ron Jantzen, Cloyce Tyner and Bill McCain.

The senior scramble is open to golfers who are at least 50 years old and is played each Wednesday at Big Cedar.

Start time changes this week to 9 a.m. Golfers must sign up with the pro shop by 8:30 a.m.
