FM 488 IN FAIRFIELD was tied up for a time Friday morning with this 3-vehicle wreck that, surprisingly, involved no contact among three trucks. Fairfield police report that a dump truck snagged overhead power lines, causing them to fall across the roadway. A tractor-trailer rig skidded to a stop to avoid the lines and a truck hauling hay wound up jacknifed as it avoided slamming into the rear of the tractor-trailer rig.
