Eagles baseball alumni to play
Former Fairfield high school Eagles baseball players looking to relive their "glory days" and support the 2009 team are invited to play in an alumni versus varsity-junior varsity game on Friday, Feb. 20.
This is the second annual alumni game---about 15 former Eagles turned out last year.
"I would like for this to become a big event that is just as exciting for the alumni as it is for the current players," FHS head coach Bill Crawford says.
Former baseball players are urged to attend to cheer for their classmates, even if they don't take the field.
Crawford says that the game provides a chance for today's players to learn from the former Eagles the grew up watching and hearing about.
For alumni, it is a way for them to be a part of the baseball program, and feel they will always be part of the program.
An former Eagles baseball players who want to participate should contact Crawford bill.crawford@fairfield.k12 .tx.us, or call 903-389-4177 to leave a message with FHS office staff.
