Van Elister Dorham

Funeral services were held last weekend for Van Elister Dorham of Fairfield who died Sunday, Jan. 25, at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield.

Services began at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, at Jones Chapel United Methodist Church in Fairfield with Rev. Elnora Nunnally officiating.

Interment with military honors provided by the Fort Hood Army Post followed at Hopewell Cemetery.

Mr. Dorham is survived by special friend, Beulah Manning of Fairfield; sons, Marcus La Van Smith of Arlington and DeAndree McGee of Nacogdoches; daughters, LaTasha Patrice Cyrus of Saint Paul, Minnesota; sisters, Dosis D. Small and husband Jeff of Fairfield, Beverly Bass and husband Kenneth of Houston, Nathalene Jackson of Fort Worth, and Juanita Yeldell of Dallas; brother, John David Dorham of Fairfield; aunts, Mildred Andy and Martha Govan, both of Fairfield; great-uncle, Boykin Lee and wife Ella Mae of Fairfield; grandchildren, Marjani LaRay Cyrus, Jeanetta, and Robert Lee Bankston; and special niece, Denise Washington.

Arrangements were made by Moore's Angelic Funeral Home of Teague.
