Clara Clark

Funeral services were held for Clara Clark, 86, of Teague who died Friday, Jan. 30, at Regency Hospital North Dallas in Carrollton.

Mrs. Clark was born in Houston to Ross and Clara Lee.

She married Oran M. Clark, a U.S. Marine in World War II, and worked in the Houston shipyard as a "Rosie Riveter."

Mrs. Clark also worked for Southern Pacific Railroad.

In 1961, she graduated from nursing school in Galena Park and worked as an LVN at many Houston hospitals and nursing homes.

She and her family moved to Teague in 1985.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague with Rev. Sandra Hippman officiating.

Burial followed at Salem Cemetery near Freestone.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her daughters, Carolyn English and husband Royce of Richland Chambers Lake, Patricia Anzelmo and husband John of Carrollton, Linda Traylor and husband Champ of Pasadena, and Liz Osina and husband Mark of Macon, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Mark English, Christopher English, Jeffrey English, Ryan Anzelmo, Rachel Hallmark, Stephanie Brooks, Champ Traylor, Jr., Emily Osina. Sisters Juanita Monte, Marjorie Palmer and Annabel Blair; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oran M. Clark; brother, Ross Robert Lee, Jr.; sisters, Viola Clark and Melrose Lee; and granddaughters Leslie Anzelma and Lacey Osina.

Arrangements were made by Bowers Funeral Home of Teague.
