Fairfield high school hosts area teams Saturday for academic competition in preparation for the University Interscholastic League District 20-AAA meet next month.

FHS also is hosting the district meet.

Students have participated in a series of academic practice meets this semester to prepare for district, which Fairfield has won 18 of the past 19 years.

The district meet is divided into three parts, of which FHS hosts two—- journalism, ready writing and speaking on March 25, and primarily mathematics and science on March 27.

Thespians compete in district 1-act play on April 4 at Lon Morris College in Jacksonville.
