Cowboy named to Wrangler team Fairfield high school cowboy Cooper Vandiver has been named to the Wrangler High School All Star Rodeo Team. Selection to the corporatesponsored youth rodeo team is made by the National High School Rodeo Association. The Wrangler high school team is fashioned after Wrangler's Champion Pro Rodeo Team, which includes superstars such as Trevor Brazile, Joe Beaver, Dan Mortensen, Dustin Elliott, Kelly Kaminski, Will Lowe and Hall-of-Famer the late Jim Shoulders. Vandiver earned a position on the team based on leadership qualities, academic eligibility and athletic achievements. "We are excited to again this year expand Wrangler's rodeo sponsorship program at the high school level," Jeff Chadwick, director of special events for Wrangler Rodeo, says. "As always, it gives us a tremendous sense of pride to associate the Wrangler brand with promising young men and women." Team members receive official competition apparel consisting of Wrangler Twenty X shirts embroidered with the team logo and two pair of competition jeans. In addition, team members receive an official certificate signed by Wrangler Jeans and Shirts president Phil McAdams. "Wrangler's NHSRA sponsorship is a natural extension of our professional and collegiate rodeo programs," Chadwick says. Vandiver, a sophomore student at Fairfield high school, is the son of Steve and Teresa Vandiver. |
