JENNIFER JOHNSON Fairfield alumni Jenifer Johnson graduated summa cum laude from Prairie View A&M University with a master's degree in education.

Miss Johnson is a 2002 honor graduate of Fairfield high school and received her bachelor of science degree with honors in interdisciplinary studies from Prairie View A&M University in 2006.

She teaches eighth grade language arts and advanced academic strategies at Thornton middle school in Katy.

Commencement ceremonies were held Saturday, Dec. 13, at 1 p.m. at the William J. Nicks building in Prairie View.

A reception given by her parents, B.J. and Connie Johnson, was held at Miss Johnson's Houston home following graduation.

She is the granddaughter of Willie L. Perry of Mexia and Lela M. Johnson of Fairfield.
