History Club thanks supporters
Attending the Fairfield History Club's inaugural Investor Appreciation Reception were community leaders and business representatives who supported the organization and its efforts.
The reception was held Thursday, Nov. 13, at the historic Moody-Bradley House where the club presented several service projects which were completed in the past year due to the contributions of those in attendance.
Members also discussed with investors upcoming projects including planning and promoting community and cultural events, supporting area recycling efforts, supporting Texas Federation of Women's Clubs Scholarships, Trinity District and Leatha Parker Memorial Scholarship Fund, administiring the Jack and Margaret Ritter Scholarship Fund, hosting "Stand Up To Cancer" Valentine Dinner, planning and promoting projects regarding domestic violence issues, donating to Soldier and Family Assistance Center-Brook Medical Center, and sponsoring art, photography and literary contests in area schools.
