Fairfield FFA won its ninth consecutive Sandyland District leadership events title and qualified several of its members for Area VIII competition.

A total of 35 Fairfield students competed at district Nov. 11 at Trinity Valley Community College, and 26 went on to the area contest Saturday at Hillsboro high school.

First place at district was captured by the senior FFA quiz, public relations, agricultural issues forum, skills demonstration and senior chapter conducting teams, while two individuals won job interview and senior creed speaking.

Competing on the senior quiz team were Cory Black, first high individual, Jaymi McLeod, Elizabeth Cooper and Daniel Wood.

On the public relations team were Cally Hardwick and Kendall Villarreal.

Members of the agricultural issues forum team were Morgan Fuller, Cheyenne Robinson, Haley Plemons, Garrett Ward, McKenzie Beddingfield and Riley Davidson.

Individual contests at the district lever were won by Jim Davidson in job interview and Taylor Edwards- Adcock in senior creed speaking.

—Greenhand chapter conducting— Ashley McGowan, Chelsea Farrell, Jazmine Lacy, Desiree Hodges, Matthew Peine, Darius Roberts and Ty Ezell.
