FFA wins sweepstakes
At Sandyland District . . .
      Fairfield FFA won its ninth consecutive Sandyland District leadership events title and qualified several of its members for Area VIII competition. A total of 35 Fairfield students competed at district Nov. 11 at Trinity Valley Community College, and 26 went on to the area contest Saturday at Hillsboro high school.

Graduation event plans to raise funds
      A meeting is set Tuesday for fundraising planning for Fairfield Project Graduation. The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. in the elementary school cafeteria. Coming up is a spaghetti luncheon on Jan. 16. Project Graduation is a drug- and alcohol-free event for Fairfield junior and senior students set next year on June 5.
