Funeral services were held Monday at Capps Memorial Chapel for Matilda Christina Kaptchinskie, 97, of Dew, who died July 22 in Fairfield.

The Rosary was recited Monday at St. Bernard Catholic Church followed by The Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Devaraj Arluppa as celebrant. Interment followed at Fairfield Cemetery.

Funeral services were held Monday for Orange Alton Cunningham, 84, of Ft. Worth, who died June 17.

Pastor Alvin Pope of Calvary Church of God in Christ officiated at the service, which was held at Inspiring Temple of Praise Church in Ft. Worth, where Bishop Reginald Jordan is pastor.

Prentiss Burks

Services were held Monday at Crandall church of Christ for Prentiss Burks, 48, who died July 23 in Palo Pinto county.

Prentiss “Preno” Burks was born Dec. 27, 1962 in Deridder, La. He liked fishing and drag racing, and loved his 18-wheel truck.

He was preceded in death by his father T.E. Burks.
