Freestone students earn Baylor Dean’s List

A Fairfield resident, along with another from Teague, have earned a place on the Dean's List at Baylor University.

Lindsey Janelle Bristow, born and raised here in Fairfield, was awarded that honor for her studies during the Fall Semester at Baylor. She's enrolled in the School of Arts and Sciences.

FJH Library receives $6,000 grant to help with costs of future media center

When Tammy Gawryszewski first saw the Fairfield Junior High School library, she saw potential and formulated a vision for the new Library Media Center at Fairfield Junior High.

A $6,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation and Facility #248 will help her to achieve some of those dreams.”

FISD to host phone book recycling drive

Fairfield ISD will be hosting a phone book recycle collection drive from January 30 to February 10, 2012. Each campus will hold class competitions to collect out-of-date phone books to be recycled. Phone books may be from any town and any company.
