NEW RADIO COMMUNICATION TOWER FOR FREESTONE COUNTY

Specifications and proposal forms may be obtained at the Heart of Texas Council of Governments (HOTCOG), 1514 South New Road, Waco, TX 76711 or Harold.Ferguson@hot.cog.tx.us. It is the intent of this RFP and the resulting documents to describe a functionally complete project resulting in a communications tower, shelter, backup generator, and associated items/services. The successful vendor will be required to provide a performance bond in connection with the final contract. Funding for this project is provided to the HOTCOG through the Homeland Security Grant Program. Facsimile or late bids will not be considered. Bids must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope what item the bid is for. The bids will be discussed and/or awarded at the regular Commissioner’s Court meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2010.

The Court reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

PUBLIC NOTICE August 30, 2010

After the review of the city’s 2010- 2011 budget, it was determined that increasing water, wastewater and garbage rates are necessary.

The Wortham City Council approved Ordinance No. 683-0810 An Ordinance Amending Rates for Water, Wastewater and Solid Waste Services within and outside the City, tap fees, transfer fee, disconnect fee and repealing all other ordinances in conflict at a Special Called Meeting held on August 29, 2010.

The new rates will be included on the October 1, 2010 billing.

A copy of the amended ordinance may be obtained from the Wortham City Hall.
